Thank you for being interested in joining Columbia Basin Dive Rescue. There is a link below to an application. Please complete the application (except for medical authorization) in its entirety, making sure to sign in all the appropriate places.

The application process has several stages. When the application form is returned to the CBDR office, it is sent to a local law enforcement agency for a background check. After the background report is received, the applicant will be contacted by the Training Officer. At that time either a screening interview will be set up or notification of non-approval will be made. After successful completion of the interview, the applicant becomes a Trainee Member. The Trainee will be directed to provide the medical clearance form in the application packet and to complete a Washington State Department of Emergency Management (DEM) card at the Southeast Communication Center . When all the proper forms have been received, the Trainee will be able to participate in all training activities.

Due to the demanding, and often sensitive nature, of Columbia Basin Dive Rescue activities, efforts are made to ensure that candidates for membership are carefully screened. If you have any questions during this process, don't hesitate to call our office (946-2237) and leave a message to contact you or send an email to info@cbdr.org. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Although demanding, CBDR membership can also be quite rewarding. Hope to meet you soon!
